Davis' mom came in and taught us about teeth and how to take care of them. We loved having her and her friends come! Thank you, Mrs. McLamb! We made presentations about what we did during Spring Break. We enjoyed showing pictures and telling stories. Last chapter in English we learned about adjectives. This chapter we are writing descriptive paragraphs. We started off making a senses chart. Then we made it into a paragraph! Here is our paragraph we wrote: My teacher brought an awesome starfish to show us. It looks like a spiky orangish brown star. It has a hole in the bottom where its mouth is. It looks chubby and its arms look like octopus tentacles. Its face is tan. It has a circle on top of it. It has five arms and curves down toward the tips of the arms. Most people heard nothing, but some people heard a sound like the ocean. We didn’t taste it, but we think it would taste horrible. It had a terrible smell that was stinkier than a stinky shoe with a stinky sock. Some people said it smelled like raw fish. Yuck! It was hard. It was bumpy on the bottom but prickly on the top like a cactus.
While we were drawing the Tate flag of Michigan in our books, Mrs. Duncan traced over the Design. We loved it so much we wanted to share a picture of it. |
