We have been learning about insects in class. We reviewed the parts of an insect by doing some crafts. We had fun singing and laughing along as we colored.
Yesterday we were learning about proper and common nouns. We took a sticky note and wrote a common noun on it. Then we traded and drew a picture of it. We then wrote a common noun for the picture. We had so much fun learning about nouns! In September the class was working in the fruit of the spirit called joy. Two students earned the award this month. Congratulations to Alyssa and Curtis! Last week we had a lot of fun learning about earthworms. We observed them using our senses and took a closer look at them with magnifying glasses. We had so much fun!!! Our class went on a little walk. We walked outside around the school. On the speed bump we observed ants walking in a line. We noticed cleat marks in the mud. We examined a stinky sock and sniffed it. It smelled icky! We looked a feather and it was as soft as silk. On the picnic table we inspected someone’s leftover Chick-fil-A sandwich. There were ants in the ketchup! We then saw a butterfly that flew away. There were lots of broken sticks around to play with. We heard crickets as we were walking. Behind the gym we identified baby flowers and dandelions. There was also an apple tree that we got to climb. We also glanced at a Gator car. There were birds flying in the sky. On the wall of the gym we spied someone’s nasty old gum. There was also a bee. Then we saw a white moth near the playground. There were also tennis balls. They came from the tennis court nearby. At the end of our walk, we took a picture against the baseball dugout. Our walk was amazing!
